I had a hard time on 4-5 where you had to make a triangle into a proportion. It was really confusing at first but when i read the example and asked other people how to do it it made more sense. I figured out that (A9=20times8).You multiply 20 and 8 and that is 165, and you divide it by 9, which is 17.78. Than your left with 9a so you divide that by 9 and your left with A. So the answer is A=17.78
So if you make that into a proportion it should look like this,
9a = 165
9 9
a= 17.78
I had to make triangles for a science experiment that were the same proportion but different size’s. one of the triangles had to be 12cm by 9cm by 8cm, and the other one was 20cm by 30cm by A cm. You have to figure out what A is. So I took 9from the first triangle and the A from the other one and made it 9A, than I took the 8 from the first triangle and the 2o from the 2nd one and made a proportion that looked like this,
9a = 165
9 9
So you divide 9a by 9 and come out with A, and you divide 165 by 9 and come out with 17.78. So A=17.78.
