Invictus Response

I choose the relationship between Nelson Mandela’s guards. At first their was very few guards, and they all had darker skin. Than Mandela decided he needed white and black guards, because everyone was even. When the black guards heard their was going to be other white guards with them they got angry. They didn’t want anything to do with them. The first time they went anywhere with the President all the blacks were in a car and the whites were in another. Gradually they became to like each other. They played rugby together. At the rugby world cup game they all worked together to keep the President safe. At the end when the springboks team won all of the guards were very excited and shook hands and celebrated together. When they drove the President back home all of the guards were intertwined. The blacks and whites wern’t separated.

This represents post-apartheid because all of the guards became friends and didn’t hate each other.
