Dangerous Journey and Pilgrims Progress

We read Dangerous Journey and Pilgrims Progress in our class. They are almost the same book. It is about a man named Christian. He left city of destruction. He had a burden on his back and he left for the Celestial City. on Christian’s journey he faces a lot of temptations and a lot of fights. On one occasion he fought against Apollyon who is one of Satan’s demons. At palace beautiful they gave him food and told him about the battle vs Apollyon then they fitted Christian with the armor which God provided for all the travelers. They did not give him armor on his back because he would not turn back. Christan was wounded and he dropped his sword as apollyon came towards him christian grabbed his sword and stuck it through apollyon and apollyon ran away very wounded. Christian won the battle because God was on his side.

Christian able to get rid of his burden of sin at Calgary. the burden tears off his back and rolls into the open tomb. Christian kept feeling behind his back he could not believe it has very surprising to him that gazing at the cross could take of his burden of guilt. he felt so light but his journey was far from over.

It is like life is a journey for me also and there is a lot of temptations in life. I need God. Christians  are on a dangerous journey to heaven. we have to choose the hard but right way. and some people thought that Christian was crazy but that was not true but God helped him through it. and he got past all the awful things he met and he got to the celestial city.
