Learned:

I learned that in South Africa there are white people. Because when I think of Africa I always think of just black people and in many occasions that is true. I also learned that then, and still now today, white people had power over blacks. But when Mandela became president that changed in South Africa. The white people began to befriend the black people. And treat them more like a human being. I also learned that many black people did not like that rugby team because it was white and that when the team went to a village of black kids they all just knew the black player on the team.

Ways Mandela was Wise:

Mandela was wise because he risked his power and authority over a very important concept, racial difference. And many people did not like that he was wanting to help the whites and befriends them. When they were the ones who put him in prison in the first place. He taught the people to forgive and move on.
