Me and my group studied Oman. Oman is in Asia next to Saudi Arabia.There are 4.975 million people who live in Oman, and  300,000 of them are Christian. Most people believe Oman is a safe, and free country, but it’s not. The government tries to keep it that way, so people out of Oman won’t know anything. It is hard for Omanis to be Christian; they can’t even share their story’s, because of how easily it can be traced back to them, and then they might be tortured or even killed. The thing I was proud of on our virtual exhibit was our website. It had everything on it we worked on. I was really proud of it because we worked really hard on it, and now it looks very pretty. 

I did a comic for my project. I think I did well of drawing on my project. I’m proud of the pictures and colors I added. If I was there when they stoned Stephen I think I would be really disappointed and hurt by what people were doing to him. I was really sad and unnecessary. It makes me sick that someone would do that to a another human being just because of their faith. What do I feel toward Saul? I personally don’t like him he seems to enjoy watching people get hurt. Just from his first appearance I can tell he was a really bad person who liked power. I think the early Christians kept preaching even though they could get killed was because of the mission Jesus gave them.

Our school year has been very different from the previous years so hopefully it ends good. What I’ve loved about school so far has been seeing my friends, I haven’ t seem that much during quarantine so it felt good to see them.  Our school year just stared so there aren’t many things we’ve really learned. I guess I learned to keep my mask on so that others can be safe. I’m really looking forward to making new friends and,making my last year at ZCS unforgettable,

My summer was not very exiting since I’ve been stuck at home, but there a couple of fun thing I that happened. One morning I was watering our flowers and out of nowhere a bird came out and attacked me, it was definitively the best thing that happened to me. Brinae came over to my house and we broke out golf cart. I went to a couple Of my brothers baseball tournaments. I babysat a lot and made good money. My family and I went swimming a lot which was fun. We went canoeing at a pond close to us. I slept in everyday which was great, I miss it now. I Played with my dog maizy who is my best friend. That was all I did this summer.

 

 Part 1

 “Do you ever have one of those moments…like…if you could just freeze it? It’s so beautiful.” If you could freeze a moment from your life, what moment would that be? Yes, I do have those moments. When I wen’t to Disney world for the first time. I t was the best day of my life. 

 Do you have anyone in your life that you would do anything for? Do you think that’s how God feels about you? I would do anything for my sister in Africa since she didn’t get adopted with us. I feel like I need to watch out for her. Yes, I think that’s how God feels for us since he rested us and er are his children. 

Part 2

What do you think God is whispering to you right now? How does His presence comfort you?  I think God is whispering to me ” Be nice to your siblings because your going to be stuck with them forever.” When I’m angry or mad and Feel like nobody understand then I know God will listen to me. 

 

With forgiveness comes repentance. To “repent” literally means to change directions. After we ask forgiveness, receiving God’s grace can cause us to want to act differently than before–to repent. Tell a story about a time when you acted differently after asking for forgiveness. OR tell about something that you would like to do differently in order to better reflect God’s love. What happened? How did you feel? What I would do differently to reflect God’s love is probably forgive people before they forgive me. 

Tell a story about something creative that you did this week. What happened? Who was a part of making it happen? I didn’t do anything creative. My family and I went on a hike though. We wen’t because we haven’t done anything together in a while. walking is also good for you. My whole family wen’t basically. It was really fun and super tiring, and the end of the trail we ended up at Lake Michigan. 

 Did the Zoom on Tuesday make sense to you? Do you have any suggestions for the 8th-grade teachers on finding the theme during distance learning? Do you have any questions for the 8th-grade teachers?

The zoom meeting made sense to me but there was a lot of people on it. I don’t have any suggestions on finding the theme during distance learning. I think it’s very hard to do at home. Does everyone need find one? because I didn’t come up with one. 

Describe one gift or talent that you have that you could use to lead ZCS next year? Where and when could that gift be used at ZCS? For example, you might say that you like to organize so you could help Mr. Commeret organize the Lost and Found. You would do this by…

I like to have fun ,so when people are bored I can help them. I’m very competitive so we might play soccer, Basketball or football. I can help all the teacher make class fun so kids like school.

Sound of your Voice. It says listen to the sound of your voice, and that’s what I’m trying to do to find a theme.”There’s no greater thing” It stuck  out to me because there’s no greater thing than the Lord.

God Parting the Sea for his people. When God parted the sea so that his people could get through gives so much hope. It gives me hope because he has amazing powers and can control anything. I know that a lot of bad stuff happen but it’s all for a reason,God know what he’s doing. Like when all the people were scared because they thought they wouldn’t make it but then God open the sea so that they would be okay. The corona is something bad happening but God has a plan for whats going to happen after words we just need to stay still and wait.

 

 

What did you learn or think about the most this week from our theme “The Psalms teach us to sing praise to God.” Was there a phrase from a Psalm that stood out? What praise do you sing to God right now? I learned that if we just stay still and don’t stress we will be fulfilled.I also learned that God’s wings are shelter to those who don’t have homes.I think the Psalms were a good subject because we used them all kinds of different way. “Gods love endures Forever.” stood out to me because I think it was short, simple but meaningful. I don’t really know what part I’m singing out loud but If I had to pick probably “Gods love endures Forever.” 

Tell a story about a time that was difficult this week. What happened? Were there things that comforted you at all? When me and my siblings fought. We just at each other and know how to annoy one another.It get when we fight because we can’t go anywhere so were stuck at the house together witch creates tension. Listening to music really helped me, it makes go to my own world. Talking a walk helped get all the negative stuff out of my head.

Tell a story about something this week that you were proud of. What happened? Who was a part of making it happen? When I Helped around the house with doing the laundry, sweeping, cleaning mudroom, and braiding my sisters hair.I usually do this stuff but really thinking about it makes me proud.I can not do it or just do it half way but I still do it even though I don’t want to.I braid my little sister hair and can I say I looks “AMAZING!”My sisters do the stuff to like folding the laundry with me and helping around the house.

Describe the activities that you are doing to help pass the time once your homework is finished. Possible examples-bike riding, painting, board games, puzzles, texting friends…  I text my friends to find out what their doing usually. I’ve been thinking about doing art like painting, drawing or doing some kind of craft. I play games and do just dance on our Wii for some exercise when the weather is bad outside witch is everyday.Watching TV is kinda popular at our house. We’ve been watching very good movies and shows.

Describe a time or times when you were kind since we shifted to online learning. Describe a time when someone has been kind to you since we shifted to online learning. I made coffee for Kb today just to be nice since he was doing chores. I braided Avah’s hair so it’s not frizzy. I’ve being helping out around the house.My sister Myla tought me hoe to make banana bread since I had to learn how to Cook/Bake for the passion which was really nice of her. My Mom got us chocolate for Easter add it was really good.

What verse(s) stood out to you? Why? Pslam 61 because it was the shortest one.

What image do you see when you think of that verse? Big wings covering somebody in the cold.

What “artistic position” would you draw for this Psalm? Two big wings or A big cross.

What could you connect from your life with that Psalm (could be before covid19 or after it)? What do you notice about God in this Psalm? During this time God is protecting us in his wings where there’s shelter.
