-¿Como me impacto?
Me impactó porque pienso en su historia y como él necesitaba tener una Visa solo para que el puede viajar a los Estados Unidos. Esto me impactó porque yo ya estoy en un lugar donde puedo ir a escuela y hacer lo que quiero hacer. Muchas personas no pueden ir a escuela en los Estados Unidos porque donde están no dejan viajar a los Estados Unidos.
-¿Que significa por mí?
Significa que yo debo ser muy orgulloso de lo que tengo my mis oportunidades porque no todos en el mundo. Significa que yo debo tratar de ser lo más bueno que puedo hacer para ayudar a estos personas. Significa que yo debo tratar de hacer algo para que estas personas saben que ellos son como nosotros también y caben en los Estados Unidos también.
-¿Que es una historia que te ayudo entender el vida de JPv más?Una Historia que me encantó de JP es cuando el estaba en el colegio y todos estaban muy vestidos différentes y su amigo preguntó si él quería jugar baloncesto con el y el dijo sí. El fui al lugar que iban a jugar baloncesto y cuando estaba allí él estaba vestido en ropa muy profesional para el trabajo y necesitaban ir para otra ropa para el.
Una cosa que es muy interesante que me ayudó entender el vida de JP es cuando él estaba explicando que hay 1,652 lenguajes en India. Yo aprendí que hay más que 12 millones de personas en cada ciudad de India. El tenía que dejar su familia por 2 años sin ver a su familia.

Maestra Rodríguez emigró de Cuba. Cuando ella está caminando por las calles de Cuba personas están pegándole. Ella tenía que dejar a su familia en Cuba. Su mamá y su papá eran muy enfermos. Ella trataba de tener Visas para ellos venir y venir a los estados unidos pero cuando dijeron que podía tener los Visa’s su mamá murió. No podía votar o expresar sus pensamientos. Necesitaba ir agricultándo como niño por 45 días y necesitaba llevar 10 galones de café cada día para su trabajo.

He is from the middle of Mexico. Only person in his family to move to the US. Took a long time to get his VISA. He went to hope college.
¿Qué aprendí?
Yo aprendí que en Cuba los niños tienen que ir a colectar 10 galones de café en un pico de una montaña por 45 días y el gobierno no le paga.
¿Como voy a actuar de manera diferente ahora?
Yo voy a pensar en las personas que no tienen muchos recursos o una casa el próximo ves que yo quiero algo.
¿Valió la pena escuchar a sus historias?
Si valió la pena porque ahora cambia la manera que yo pienso en estas personas porque si ellos no tienen todo lo que nosotros tenemos esto no es un razón de maltratarlo. Debemos tratarle mejor porque no tiene estas cosas.
¿Como me impacto?
Me impactó porque ahora pienso en cuando yo era niño y mi vida era casi perfecto. Yo tenía comida, agua, casa, familia y todo lo que tenía para vivir. Pero ellos tenían que trabajar muy duro para todo el día para solo tener suficiente comida de comer su familia.

I thought that the movie was really cool and how the moms worked just as much as the men did. It was sad that the kids in the movie did not want to go to school because some of their schools were getting bombed and seeing kids getting killed. It was sad that they could not make a noise when they were crossing the line of syria or they would get killed by the terrorists. One lady her son was shot in the leg and dragged a long ways then killed on a sidewalk by the terrorists. When they showed pictures of Syria in the beginning I felt sad for what was happening to these families that did nothing wrong. Then I look at my childhood and see this perfect life with no terrorism. When Zach and Chris when into the refugee camp everyone welcomed them and talked with them. The people in the camps had dealt with traumatic experiences. Raoful did not want to go back to school cause he had bad memories their. After they put on a play about school to get the kids to come to school.

5 Things that I learned from JP’s Visit
1. It takes a lot of work to immigrate or to get a visa and get to the united states.
2. The food is very different in India.
3. They speak 1,652 different languages in India.
4. I learned he had to leave his family and everything behind and didn’t see his family for 2 years.
5. That there is usually 12 million people in a city.

Desafío de Consumo
Sabías que 75 % de las personas en América tienen un recurso o más de tecnología? Mi desafío es que no pudo usar mi tecnología para hacer juegos y cosas que me gusta hacer porque quería sentir que ellos sientan si ven a nosotros con estas privilegios y ellos no tienen. Esto es porque quería hacer este desafío para ver que siento cuando no lo tengo. También hice otro desafío de consumo era tomar duchas frías. 783 millón de personas no tienen agua limpia para beber y lavar. No era una buen experiencia ir en una ducha fría antes de escuela. Pudo sentir cuán horrible es para todos que tienen que lavar en agua fría o agua no limpia.
El agua era tan fría como si tuvieras un balde con agua tan fría como Lago Michigan en el Invierno. Esto es como sentía mis duchas. Yo ni me duchaba en agua caliente porque quería tener mejor entendimiento de cómo ellos vivan sin agua caliente o sin agua limpia. Mi otro desafío era muy mala porque era aburrido todo el día. Cuando tenía tiempo libre estaba solo pensando en que podía hacer porque usualmente solo juego en mi computador. Todo el día estaba muy aburrido y no sabía qué hacer. Esto era tan difícil cómo ponerte en un cuarto cubierto de dulces y no comer nada. Cuando mi hermana, mi hermano, mi mamá y mi papá fueron para sus nuevos teléfonos sentí triste porque yo no tenía. Esto es porque quería hacer este desafío para ver como me gusta sin tener estas cosas. También para tener mejor entendimiento de cómo ellos viven. Siempre tenía tentación de usar mi computador cuando nadie estaba en casa o si nadie estaba mirando a mi. Era una tentación grande solo cambiar el nivel de cuán caliente es tu ducha para ser un poco más caliente. Pero lo logró.
El mundo es 70 por ciento cubierto de agua, pero sólo 2.5 es agua limpia. Mi cambio no solo afectó a mi, también afectó a mi familia. Afecta a mi familia porque cada vez que yo no tomé una ducha caliente, está agua caliente mi familia puede usar en ves de mí. También si yo no uso tanta agua esto da más agua caliente para otra familia. Creo que siempre debo tomar duchas frías porque no hay mucha agua que queda en el mundo. Me afecta tener un mejor entendimiento de cuán horrible es tener una ducha fría. Me afectó tanto que voy a hacer este desafío más para guardar más agua limpia para otras personas usar. Me aprendí que no hay mucha agua y debemos sólo usar lo que necesitamos porque muchos personas no tienen agua limpia. Tienen que caminar millas en África con vasos de agua en su cabeza para agua que ni es limpia. Éste es una experiencia que voy a seguir practicando en mi vida.
En el futuro voy a tratar de seguir haciendo mi desafío unos días porque me ayuda a entender cómo ellos viven sin esas privilegios. Voy a decir a toda mi familia no usar tanta agua caliente cuando duchan y no tener duchas largas. Cuando mi familia no usa tanta agua nos da dinero extra. Podemos usar ese dinero para dar a personas en las calles que no tienen casas. Así que ellos pueden comprar agua limpia. También podemos dar dinero y agua limpia a el lugar de personas que no tienen casas en Holland. Aprendí que necesitamos sólo usar tanta agua que necesitamos. También sólo debemos usar tantos recursos que necesitamos. Está es una problema que voy a seguir tratando de ayudar.

Living on a Dollar
When we watched the movie “Living on a Dollar” I felt really sad because there was these kids that had no food, no clean water, no good shelter’s, no education and it is just sad. There was this one dad named Anthony that had a regular day job and one of the other dad’s came crying and said “My wife is going to die if I don’t bring her to a hospital, but I don’t have money.” Anthony then took her and her husband with his money to a hospital and she got better. That is one example of how humble these people are. I loved that movie and recommend it.

I would make them play laser tag and then mr’s potato head loose the eye and then someone picks it up and put’s it in the garbage can and it goes on a lot of adventure’s and mr’s potato head can see all those adventure’s. then it ends up on a jail and they go to get it but it is inside and they will get caught on camera so they will get to go to jail. ¿But how will they escape?

Request foods
We took a field trip to a place the makes food called “Request Foods” and we took a tour thru the production building and saw all the machines. It was really cool. We went up some stairs and saw a big mac and chese mixer and it was sweat. We saw them make the boxes with machines. Then after our tour we ate some of their food. IT WAS AMAZING!!! The food was so good the best. You should look forward to going to Request foods in 5th grade 4th graders.

A new Island
If I discovered a new Island I would have to make laws and have a government before everyone moved there. For the government I would have smart people with experience of being leaders be part of the government. The laws would be to have FUN!!! But also be careful on the highways. Wait we need to build highways. The houses will be all in trees. Tree houses!!! Instead of cars go karts that go 12,000 miles per hour. But the spend limit will be 11,000 miles per hour. American money will be worth 100 times the number. That is what my Island will be right.

Spring Break
What I did for Spring Break…
What I did for Spring Break is I went to Florida and I had a blast. I got to go with my family and also meet some of my friends their. We were in “Fort Pierce” and our resort was called “Ocean Village” It was really fun cause their was like 10 pools. They also had a tiki bar and it was a 30 second walk to the beach and you did’nt have to go out of the resort to get to the beach there was stairs that went up a little dune and u were there. I had so much fun I played lots of cards with my friends. We all took scooters and ripstick’s and long board’s so we could scooter around. We also had a blender so every day we made strawberry and banana smoothie’s or just strawberry. It was so fun cause when we were going to a returant we saw something on the water on the way there and then our friends saw something their on the way back so we stopped and walk on he mini highway thing and climbed over so we would’nt get hit and we found mannates. We also saw lots of jumping fish. Thew would just jump out of the water like a patern. The mannates were so cool.

When Officer Brueker came he showed us a video of Smoky Sally and Healthy Herold. In the video it showed us Smoky Sally’s Body and Healthy Harold body and how bad Sally’s body was compared to Harold. Sally said at the end of the video I wish I never smoked in the first place. So I learned from Officer Brueker that I should never smoke or never even try it. He also taught me that when you smoke one’s it can get u addicted. Also he told us that u can also get deseases my getting secondary smoke that is when u breath in someone elses cigar or the smoke. That can also get u sick. So he taught us to NEVER SMOKE!!! Please don’t try it you’ll regret it.

Reading!!!!!
I really like reading because I can sit down and relax and read a good book. My favorite book is “The Giving Tree” it’s one of the books I read when I was little and I also read it now. In “The Giving Tree” this tree gives her apples for money and a job, her branches for a house, her body for a boat and her stump for a nice place to sit. Along the story u learn that u always have something to give.

My Presentation to the Image group
What i really liked about my presentation was that we had loud voices. Also i though we did really good because they thought we were done like 3 times but we kept hitting them with more adds and info. We did good because we planned everything out and they told us it was very planned out and practiced. We practiced a lot on it and practice helped a lot we didn’t even need a paper to read we took the time to memorize r lines i thought we did pretty good.

Las raíces del mar
Este libro “Las raíses del mar” se trata de Ramón que le gusta investigar. Ramón quería saber el misterio del capitan gondomar y quien era tambien quería saber un poco sobre porque aquí todos tienen nombres como Mar, Mara, Aram, Ramón, Gondomar y otros nombres que tienen “MAR” y tambien lo que paso al mar. Así que el fue a la biblioteca y encontro unos libros sobre esto y empezó a estudiar. Despues encontró una mujer que se llamaba la señora Margot. Ramón creía que la señora Margot era una bruja. Tambien que pasó al papá de Ramón, desaparecio???? Habia tantos misterios para saber…
En el final el capitan Gondomar era el tarta tarta tarta tarta tarta abuelo. Encontraron al papá de Ramón. Tambien el mar regresará un día. Pero la señora Margot es una Bruja???
