Blog Reflection 05/22/2020

PART I

If I could freeze one moment, it would probably be when I went to go camping on the straights in the UP. There was this on specific hike I went on, and it just went up, up, up, and up. Until finally you saw a nice flat rock. With out thinking you sat down. THen you realize there is a clearing in front of you, and you are parallel with the bridge.

PART II

Right now, Godś presence is comforting. You know he is there saying, itś going to be okay! Because thatś how we are going to get through this is all. And find the clearing.

Blogs O’ Plenty

What did you learn or think about the most this week from our theme “Psalms teach us to say, “Forgive me, Lord”. Was there a phrase from a Psalm that stood out? When did you stop this week to ask God for forgiveness?

I stopped to ask God for forgiveness in S.S. when we had to write a letter. I wrote it to my past self to stop laughing about what is going on. It made me think, that is something I need to ask forgiveness about. The thing I learned the most I think was that we should be listening more often. And that we should be asking for forgiveness more often.

With forgiveness comes repentance. To “repent” literally means to change directions. After we ask forgiveness, receiving God’s grace can cause us to want to act differently than before–to repent. Tell a story about a time when you acted differently after asking for forgiveness. OR tell about something that you would like to do differently in order to better reflect God’s love. What happened? How did you feel?

One time that I asked for forgiveness was after a summer camp I went too. It was very meaningful and I learned a lot about God that year. Ever since I’ve been trying to have deeper prayers and more conversations with God. It makes me feel more involved with God. And I feel more like I am part of his family.

Tell a story about something creative that you did this week. What happened? Who was a part of making it happen?

This week I started to work on my art project thing. It was actually kind of fun and I like it. Something else I did was draw some sketches. And yes, I am terrible at drawing but I do like to doodle. And drawing and doodling are two different things.

Blog Reflection #?

Beginning on choosing the theme for next year was tough and a little stressful. You know that this is going to guide the whole year next year, and you don’t really mess it up. I did hear God talk to me sometimes through some of the verses I was trying to find when I was looking for some verses in my Bible.

I guess I’m not really ‘outstanding’ at anything, but I am decent at I believe more things than usual. I’m sort of smart, I kind of know how to work computers, my running pace is a bit above average, and I’m ok at listening and explaining things to people. So, I probably could find something to help with.

All of the songs were blocked. But I did find another song called ‘Breakthrough’ by one of the same artists. It stuck out to me because it talks about how wild God’s love for us is. Not sure really why that line stuck out to me, but it did. I feel like if signifiyes how much God actually loves us, even if we don’t feel very loved at a time.
