Saugatuck Center for the Arts Reflection

Our class went to Saugatuck Center for the Arts to learn about Native Americans through a video and an art museum. During the video, it was cool to see real peoples real perspectives on everything. It was very interesting. I learned from the video that it was hard to be a Native American back then. They were treated badly. They’re kids were sent to boarding schools and were punished terribly. They at times were killed! From the art museum, I learned that Native Americans were really good at making baskets. The baskets are amazing. They are very talented. I know have a deeper respect for Native Americans, they have been through so much and were treated so badly. And yet they are still human beings just like we are. They should be treated the same way as everyone else.
