No school on Monday February 17

Small Group: We will meet with our small groups this week Thursday. 

Bible: We will finish our unit review (due Tuesday at the end of class) and then we will begin looking at Jesus’ death. We will learn about the garden of Gethsemane and Jesus’ arrest.  Bible Memory: James 1:2-4 due on Friday

Social Studies/ Estudios Sociales: We will begin learning about the Emperors of China and their accomplishments. Vamos a aprender sobre los primeros emperadores de China y sus logros. 

Spanish Immersion: We will conclude discussing the last chapters of Cajas de Cartón.  Spanish Immersion Homework: we will have the DOL Semana 6 Test on Wednesday, February 19.

LA 2 (Spanish): In class we will finish the last chapters of Esperanza Renace. 

LA 1: We will develop a claim, free-write about the prompt to generate ideas and then develop a sufficiently narrow claim. We will also learn that for  the claim to be persuasive, an argument writer must support it with the most effective evidence that comes from a variety of credible sources. Credible sources are websites, reports, and articles developed by experts and journalists.

Study skills (6L only): We will talk about planning projects and taking tests.
