Hi my name is Cornelia Wilhelmina Elizabeth Rynsburger. But people call me ( Nelly )
this is the story of the time I moved to Michigan. I was 5 years old in 1912 and my family
wanted to move to Michigan because my dad was a salesman and wanted to sell flowers.
I sailed for a long time. The journey was dangerous and scary. But when we got to the united
states it did not seem to seem as bad as we thought. It seemed very hot but when we went
to make sure that my family was not ill my brothers and my sister almost had to go back because of lic.
Now let me tell you about the trip. Most of the time the waves were calm. But they could have been a lot bigger than they were. Most of the time we could be outside but some of the times it was raining. We enjoyed most of the trip when we could see new things. And won time on the sailboat my mother was dipped of the boat everyone was scared at first but when my dad got her safely back on the boat we felt just fine we let her lay down till we got to the United States. And when we got to the united states as I told you my two brothers and my sister almost had to go back. But then my life seemed even worse. Because a few years later my mother died of the flu. And I was the mother for 3 years because my dad did not marry someone else till I was 9. But in the end we enjoyed the United States.
