God’s Promise of Salvation
And I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your offspring and hers he will crush your head and you will strike his heal Genesis 3:15
The meaning of the verse is that there will be a savior that will come and destroy sin and all sin will be is gone.
God’s Covenant with Noah
Gods covenant with noah was that he will never destroy the earth with a flood again.He sent the rainbow as a fitting symbol of Gods covenant.
The rainbow is a fitting symbol because the rainbow is a visible reminder that we should have faith in God through all things. It will be remembered for Gods covenant that he will never destroy the earth with a flood again.
God’s Covenant with Abraham
Gods covenant with Abraham is that he will have as many descendants than the stars in the sky and sand on the seashore.
Abrahams sacrificing of Isaac is the same as jesus dyeing on the cross because both fathers where willing to give there only son, and they were both sacrificed on the same hill.
Abrahams sacrificing of Isaac is different than Jesus death on the cross because Isaac didn’t know he was going to be sacrificed on the alter and Jesus knew he was going to have to die to save us from our sins. Isaac didn’t actually die and Jesus did.
God’s Covenant with Israel
Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant I will make you my treasured possession although the whole earth is mine you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation these are the words you are to speak to the Israelites. God gave the Israelites the ten commandments so they will have laws and rules to follow so they could keep there part of the covenant. To get the ten commandments moses had to go to the top of the mountain and speak with God. God would say the ten commandments and moses would write it on a stone.
God’s Covenant with David
God davids extended family will rein as royal rulers to israel as long as Israel is in need of a king. Davids son will build the temple for the lord God. God sent jesus to the world and Jesus is a descendent of david and now the descendants of david will rein forever and never ending.
God’s New Covenant with Israel and Judah
The old laws were written on stone tablet and the new laws where in our minds and stored away in our hearts with the lords promise. The people no longer need priests or prophets to show them how to know and love the Lord the old covenant was between the God and the believers.
As I think about the covenants and promises God has made with his people so long ago I realize These covenants with the people from Bible times relates to me through the commands and the descendants the covenant with Noah relates to me through the rainbow. We still see that as a sign of the covenant today. These covenants relate to me because they have been here all these years. We still see signs of them all around the world.I try my best to obey Gods laws and follow his covenants but I still fall into sin .
