Letter to King George

Dear King George,

I do not think it is fair that the Writs of Assistance is taking place. Why do your soldiers get to rip up my house in search of smuggled goods without evidence, or a search warrant?

Where is any sign of liberty in ripping up peoples homes trying to find smuggled goods? You should have to have evidence, a search warrant, or at least go through homes more carefully.

Out of all seriousness,

angry colonist Corbin Vandenbrink

P.S. Why do British people get their rights and we don’t? The soldiers need a search warrant to go through British buildings and homes so they need search warrants to go through colonial houses and buildings.
