Reading is important to me because it feels like you are in a whole different world when you open a book! It is amazing how people think up all these different stories! I like A LOT of books so it is hard to choose my favorite one, but I would probably say that one of my favorites is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. My favorite book character is in that book too; Hermione. She knows a lot of spells and she is a really good friend. I like the Harry Potter books because they are enjoyable to read and they actually challenge me because they are long. The longest one is 870 pages! I just finished the 4th book (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire)  which is 734 pages and now I am reading the 5th one (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix) which is the longest one; the one with 870 pages. I also like the Harry Potter movies. So what happens in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is Harry Potter goes to his school for magic called Hogwarts and there is a murderer on the loose that everyone says is going to try and kill Harry but really the “murderer” is Harry’s godfather and he never killed anybody. Anyway, Harry is in a class with Ron and Hermione (his best friends) and there is a creature there called a hippogriff which is half bird, half horse. His name is Buckbeak. He never hurts anyone unless they come up to him suddenly. Draco Malfoy, Harry’s enemy, goes up to Buckbeak suddenly and scares him and gets hurt. Draco’s dad tells everyone to vote in favor of killing Buckbeak at the trial or they would get hurt. So they agreed and voted to kill Buckbeak. So Buckbeak is going to get killed. Harry finds out that his friend’s rat named Scabbers is an animagus which means that they can turn into a person and back into an animal. He is a bad guy. Harry found out from Sirius Black, the so called murderer, who was trying to get at Scabbers and accidentily hurts Ron’s leg. It gets broken. They decide not to kill Scabbers, who is apparently a servant of the dark lord. He escapes though and goes back to the dark lord. Black is captured and is going to be killed. Harry and Hermione (without Ron because his leg is broken)  need to try to find out how to save Buckbeak and Sirius. They use Hermione’s time turner and go back to the time when Buckbeak will be executed. They untie him once they get there and then go and save Sirius. Sirius gets on Buckbeak and flies away and they are both safe. It is a really good book and you should read it!
