Memories

One of my favorite memories is when the whole Laarman side went to Silver Lake. We were swimming on our first night there and our cousins from Texas finally pulled in to the parking space. We all splashed out of the water and said, “Hi!” Then we were all a little quiet because we didn’t remember each other that well because we hadn’t seen each other for about 2-3 years. When we finally started talking we had a great time. A few days later my cousin Kaitlyn made up this funny chant thing and we started laughing really hard. It was about llamas. Later we went swimming and swam out to the big platform a little ways out in the lake. We were doing funny jumps off of it. Later we went climbing up the big sand dunes. We were seeing how far we could jump off the end and my dad jumped right out in front of my uncle Tom when Uncle Tom was jumping and Uncle Tom did a face-plant! That night we had s’mores and my cousin tried to put as many marshmallows as she could in her mouth! I was really funny. Other things we did there include more swimming, going to a candy store, going horse-back riding, (I rode a horse named Skittles) going on a dune ride, going sea-dooing, going out for ice-cream for lunch, going to Lewis’ farm market where they also had a lot of animals like donkeys, a camel, miniature horses, bunnies, etc. I even met a girl in the next cottage over that was the exact same age as me and she had the exact same birthday! We played outdoor games together with my cousins and sisters and her brothers. One night we even did sparklers together. We had a blast in Silver Lake!
