Luke and I did a problem that we just came up with one the fly, it uses pythagorean theorem. We just came up with two names (Shabazz and Demetrius) Shabazz and demetrius live on the southside of chicago. They both go to whitney young high school and both play basketball, they are undefeated and have a game today, shabazz wants to go over to his house to practice with him. One of them is starting left bench and the other right bench. Shabazz lives 5 miles away from whitney young HS and demetrius lives 7 miles away from whitney young HS.  Using the pythagorean theorem, figure out how long does it take for shabazz to get to the house of demetrius. How you solve this problem is c2-a2=b2 first it is 7 squared – 5 squared =b2 the it is 49-25=b2 so it is 24=b2 square root of 24 which equals out to be 4.9=b. The results definitely make sense and the end result makes sense with the problem.
