Based on everything we have learned regarding the American Revolutionary War, what would you consider to have been the most important/pivotal?

I think that the most important thing regarding the American Revolutionary War, was (and is) the signing of the Declaration of Independence.  I think this, because it was one of the first acts the Colonists made. One to make the British know that they were serious, and were ready to fight for their liberty, and freedom. Also, I think it was important, because it caused the American Revolutionary War. The Revolution had already started, but the war might not have happened if the colonists hadn’t made the British mad by doing what they did- writing the Declaration of Independence. I think the British needed that extra little push, so that they new that the colonists were not kidding, and ready to be free.
