On Thursday and Friday this week we wrote down every word we thought about when we heard the word Africa. One of the most popular words was poor, because it is true that a lot of people in Africa are poor, but there are also rich people there. I learned that all the people in Africa don’t look the same and everyone there isn’t poor. I also learned that Africa is a huge place and that even though some of the people are poor, they don’t want more things or money, they are happy the way that they are and just glad to get food everyday. We learned that barely any people there have internet or home phones. The people that do have phones have cell phones because they don’t need to be connected to anything directly. I also learned that a lot of the people there are Christians, around 50%.
