Essay- Everybody Needs A Swimming Pool!

Everybody needs a swimming pool! I think that everybody needs a swimming pool because it is a way to have fun with your friends. Also it is a way to get some fresh air. And it is a way to get outside, instead of watching tv all day. Everybody needs a swimming pool.

Everybody needs a swimming pool because it is a way to have fun with your friends. For example me and my friends were inside playing. And we got board, and we didn’t know what to do. One of my friends said that we should go jump into the pool. We all liked that idea, so we got our swimsuits on and went outside and jumped into the swimming pool and we had so much fun together. Another example is to jump into the pool with your friends and talk together and have a good time together. ( If you don’t know what to do, go to the pool, it’s always there for you:)

Everybody needs a swimming pool because it is a way to get some fresh air. For example me and my friends were inside playing games all day. My mom came into the room and said that we should probably go outside and get some fresh air. At the time, me and my friends didn’t really want to go outside and play outside at the time. Then my mom suggested that we could go swimming in the pool if we wanted to, then we all shouted and were so happy that we could go outside and play in the pool. We all went up stairs and got into our swimsuits. Then we got outside and jumped into the pool. We all had a great time in the fresh air.

Everybody needs a swimming pool because it is a way to get outside instead of sitting inside watching tv all day. For example I was laying on the couch all day. My mom walked into the living room and asked me if I wanted go play outside. At first I didn’t want to go outside, I was so comfy laying down on the couch. Then my mom said, “ Why don’t you go upstairs and get your swimsuit on, then you can go outside and play in our pool.” I thought that was a really good idea. So I was thinking how much fun it would be. But then I was thinking about how hard it would be to get up from the couch. Then I tried to get up, it was hard, but I did it. Then I ran upstairs to get my swimsuit on, then I ran outside and jumped into the pool. It felt so good. When I was in the pool, I was regretting that I didn’t want to come outside in the first place, when my mom asked me if I wanted to go outside.

Everybody needs a swimming pool. I hope that now that you read my Essay, I hope that you can go to your parents and convince them to get a swimming pool. Tell them all the reasons I told you. Everybody needs a swimming pool because it’s a way to have fun with your friends, It is a way to get some fresh air, and it is a way to get outside, instead of watching tv all day. I think that having a swimming pool is very important!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope that you can get a swimming pool. Have fun in your pool, if you have a pool, or you are getting a pool.

USA Immigration

Immigration To The USA

It was so hard to be moving to Michigan. And knowing that someone else would be getting my stuff that doesn’t fit in my trunk/ suitcase made me feel even more sad.I only had a little bag to be able to pack the things that were most important to me.
Most of my things were clothes, but I had to pick most of the things that were really important to me, ( I had to pick only some of my books, toys, and stuffed animals.) I thought that it was very hard moving to a different place.( Michigan.)
My ancestors got to Michigan by a big ship, then hopped on a train to get to Michigan.

We needed to move because there was a bad tornado. And my dad said that there was a better and new life waiting for us in Michigan. We had to move to the United States because we heard about many different stories about America. Most people say that they call it the “GOLDEN LAND.” So we started asking more and more questions about it. Then we moved to the “ GOLDEN LAND.”

We have had to move about like 4 times. But I can’t really make the decision of where/ when we are moving. I don’t like moving to different places. It is always so different to move somewhere else. I was packing up my things when I thought…..
“ Wait a minute, I still need to say goodbye to my friends” I never like to say goodbye to them, because this is happening in the 1825, And in the 1825 there was no facetime, no phones, so we had to write letters back and forth to each other.
Now I have to say goodbye to my friends,
In my head I was thinking…. “ Saying bye to my friends is not fun at all.”
( We were moving from the Netherlands.) ( Now we are moving to Michigan.) I really want to just stay in one place. Every time we move, I always think…..” I hope this is going to be are final place of moving.”
( I hope!!!) I think that my family doesn’t like moving either, but it is for a good reason. The reason we are moving is because there was a big and bad tornado coming our way. ( I am freaking out.) My mom says that we are moving to have a better future. We are moving for a couple reasons. Here are the reasons: 1. Big bad tornado coming our way. 2. For a better farmland. 3. Better future. 4. Last but least….. Fresh water, and better food. My family is… My Brother Allan, My Mom, My Dad, And Me….
Lauren!!!!!! Here I go.. I have to go to my friends houses and say goodbye. ( I am nervous.) My mom tells me that I will be okay. So I started to walk over to my friends houses, First I had to go to my friends house, her name was Abby. I knocked on the door. “ Bang, Bang Bang, Bang”
The door opened and Abby answered it. “ Hi,” I said in a sad voice. “ What brings you here,” Abby asked in a nice voice. “ Um… My family is moving,” I said in a slow but silent voice. “ What do you mean you are moving,” Abby said. “ I know it is going to be hard, but we just have to do what is right,” I said. “ Yeah I know, but we have been BFF’S since we were like 3 or 4 years old,” Abby said. “ And look at us now, we are 10 years old,” I added. “ We have been BFF’S for about 7 years,” Abby added as well.
“ We can’t let this happen,” Abby said. “ Well I didn’t want to even come over here, “I said. “ Why didn’t you want to come over here?” Abby said in a sad but serious voice. “ Well you see, I didn’t want to come over here because I knew that you wouldn’t be happy with my family moving, and I didn’t want to come over here because I knew that it would be hard to say goodbye to you and all of my friends,” I said. “ I don’t want to leave either,” I said. “ But I have to do what is right for my family, and I am not going to even try to put up a fight with my parents and family,” I said. “ My parents are in a very hard time right now,” I added. “ This is the only house I have to go to on the list to say goodbye to, and it is really hard to say goodbye to people,” I said. “ We can still write letters to each other, right?” Abby said in a voice hoping that we would still be able to write letters back and forth to each other. “ Of course,” I said in a happy voice trying to keep me happy. “ Bye,” I said. “ I better get to the other houses and tell them the news,” I said waving goodbye to Abby.

Now as I was walking home I saw my parents putting up a sign in the yard that said: House For Sale. That made me even more sad to see that sign up in our front yard. As I walked into my house, My mom saw me walking in, she said, “ Can you please go to your room and pick up all the final things that are going with you.” “ Yeah,” I said. I walked into my room and started looking around my room.
I was thinking… What will it be like in Michigan instead of the Netherlands? I was thinking.. Maybe I will meet new people and have them as my new BFF. I was finished packing and I was walking down the stairs. “ Here you go mom,” I said loudly so she would hear me. Then I went to the door and saw my cousins and aunts and uncles coming in. I thought.. Come on me, don’t be even more sad that my cousins get my other things that don’t fit in my bag.
My mom shouted, “ Everyone meet in the front yard with your bag or trunk.”
Once everyone was in the front yard my mom and dad said, “ Do you guys have your bag or trunk?” “ Yes,” we answered. The family started going down the driveway. Then they walked to the train station, because that is how we are getting to Michigan. The train finally came, we had to wait for about half an hour. The train stopped and the people that were on the train got off. Then my family and a couple other people got on the train as well. My family all sat together. Then we were all just talking and relaxing. Then, after about 12-13 hours later the train stopped.

Then we were to Ellis Island. And we all were hoping that none of us would get separated. None of us did.
Then we had to go through a scanner that made sure that we didn’t take any bad things in our pockets, or our luggage. ( That was not fun at all, luckily we didn’t take anything bad, so the buzzer never went off!!!)

That was our signal that we were to Michigan. Everyone got off the train and said “ Wow, look at this place, it is amazing and beautiful.” “ I can’t wait til we get to explore Michigan,” Everyone on the train would say. Once we started walking we saw a Cop, so we asked him if he knew where we were supposed to go. He said, “ Yes, I will take you where you need to go.” Once we got to the house we all said “ Wow, This is a beautiful place.” Once we got out of the car we got our trunk and bag. Then we walked into the house. “ This is a wonderful place,” My mom and dad said. “ Thank you Jesus for this wonderful house with clean water and all different things,” My mom and dad said in a great voice!!!!!!!!!!!!
And that is how we moved to Michigan!!!!!
