My favorite part of the Christmas Story

In class we learned a lot of the story’s that lead up to the Christmas Story. My favorite part of the story was the Birth of Jesus. When everyone heard the birth of Jesus, they wanted to go see him. So Joseph went up from the town of Nazareth in  Galilee, to Judea to Bethlehem the town of David because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him, and were expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, she gave birth to her first born, a son, she wrapped him in clothes and placed him in the manger because there was no room for them in the inn.  And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord  appeared to them telling them to not  be afraid, they sang and had a great time because the Savior was born! If you would like to read the story of Jesus being born, go to this website, click the link: Luke 2

I really like this story because it is the whole story of Jesus being born. And I really like it because it’s JESUS being born, our Savior!!!! And if someone were having a baby, the whole town wouldn’t go to see the baby, but a lot of the people in Betlehem went to see the baby, and that shows how special God is and that we would do anything for him.

3 things I learned out of all the stories, not just this one:

  • I learned that Shepherds were young boys in those days.
  • I learned that you could be under 4 or 5 years old to be a Shepherd, with out your parents help.
  • I learned that where Jesus was born wasn’t a stable, it was in a cave. Sometimes in the Nativity scene they have Baby Jesus being born in a stable. Not a cave.
