Okay so Phil eats 2.5 hot dogs every 25 seconds. Billy eats 5.76 hot dogs every 25 seconds. How many more hot dogs does Billy eat every 25 seconds?
Answer:
5.76 minus 2.5 equals 3.26. Billy eats 3.26 more hot dogs than Phil every 25 seconds.
What I learned in math this week: I learned how to solve two step equations with rational numbers. I learned how to multiply on both sides to make the equation balanced. Also I learned how to divide to make the equation equal on both sides. I also learned how add or subtract on both sides of the equation to balance it.

Theme Writing
they have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the end of the world.
Last year at leadership camp, we the future eight graders took time to find inspiring bible verses that could possibly be a theme for the coming year. After rounds and rounds of voting we settled on shout silently, actions that speak. I can use the theme shout silently not only at school, but when I am interacting with people anywhere and at any time.
When I am at school I can shout silently by including everyone in activities and while doing group projects. I also can encourage teammates during sports during and after school. An other way I can shout silently is to be kind to younger kids in different grades. And finally I simply have a good attitude about school in general.
I can also use the theme shout silently in the world outside of the classroom. I could be kind to my siblings when I have had a bad day. I could also be nice to the younger kids in my neighborhood. Another way to shout silently is to simply say hi to people you meet on the street. I can also do chores at home without needing to be asked.
I can use the theme shout silently not only at school, but when I am interacting with people anywhere and at any time. The purpose of life is not to get rich and to do whatever it takes to be happy. The purpose of life is so that we can glorify God in everything we do and to help others come to know God in our community.

in this book alex rider finds himself at his uncles funeral when his uncles former boss wishes him well, but when alex smells rat after seeing that one of the well wishers associate has a gun. Realising that all of the late Ian Rider’s personal possessions have disappeared. after tracing the disappearing possessions to a junkyard and see’s his uncles car full of bullet holes about to be destroyed he quickly confronts his late uncle’s boss. he soon is confronted with the fact that his uncle was a spy.

my favorite Phrase is “power and glory forever” because it makes me realise that whatever we do in life God will live on even if we wipe ourselves from the face of the earth, God will still be there. I also think this means that God will always be able, he won’t get old and die he will be God forever.
On thursday we make a wordle of all the words that came to mind when someone says africa. sadly words like poor and hunger came up rather than nice and happy. On friday we put pictures on the board and guessed if the people were african or not I was surprised that there were some people that wouldn’t look out of place in zeeland that were born and raised in africa.
I learned not to judge a book by its cover or an african by their skin tone because they could be from anywhere but africa and you could end up looking like a racist idiot.
I would like to learn about all the people in africa and who the are and where they came from and how they got there, because I want to learn how all the different people got to africa.
