Today was are first field trip of the year we went to O.D.C ( Outdoor discovery Center ) It was a lot of fun first we went to pavilion the the two people talked about some rules and when we were going to eat lunch. Then we split up in to groups I went with the man first and we were going to go look at birds of prey. He said it would take 10 min. to get there if we walked but he said he wanted to take his time and show us some of the plants along the trail. The first one was a yellow flower that smelt like chocolate and to tell you i didn’t think it smelled like chocolate it smelt more like a tootsie roll. The second thing we looked at was a woolly bear caterpillar it was weird it was black and brown then we went to go look at the birds. When we got there we looked at the birds he said we had 10 min. and he also said we had a quiz with questons. First I looked at the turkey vulture then I went and looked at the 2 bald eagles then the hawk then a few other birds. And then it was time for the Quiz he asked a few questions we answered them and then he Brant out two birds they were really cute then we had about 5 min. to look at birds again then we walked back to pavilion and ate lunch. When we were done with lunch mr. commeret set up four cones and we played a few rounds of sharks and minnows. Then the guy said it was time for use to go with the lady so we went over and we sat down on the picnic tables. Then we started to talk about complete metamorphosis and incomplete metamorphosis. After that we took a walk and looked at a swamp lake and a wetland. Then we went to the swamp and started to net the bottom of the swamp and when we brang it up we would have insects taddpols and a lot of other things.
