The Iroquois  weren’t always   just called by one name they where called the Haudenosaunee  before they where called iroquois there name changed.The Iroquois/Haudenosaunee lived in the north eastern woodlands they lived in longhouses and they lived in one room with several other families.They were the most powerful people of the regions the Iroquois where not one  tribe but  a group of tribes that lived near  each other  and spoke similar languages.
