the crisis

After the war there was a crisis because people didn’t want to be named a American, because they didn’t want to be remembered for the country that failed. And they didn’t even have a dollar or a penny or any money. They couldn’t go back to England because they just won the battle to be free from England, and that is why I think that there was a crisis.

The harsh winter

I think that the harsh winter was a big part of the war because the Americans lost a lot of soldiers and I think that the British had the upper hand. Because there was a lot of letter about how much they wanted to go home. Like George Washington wrote a letter saying that they were going to die if the weather  was so bad. And there was a doctor that said that it was very bad and that people had the flu and other bad stuff . And that is why  this was a very big factor in the battles and the stuff that happened in the American Revolution.

William Barton

William Barton was a patriot and a high position in the colonial army and he sent a letter home saying that he mist then and they didn’t send any letters to him.So he said that he wanted them to send a note to him and chocolate and a bit of sugar. He mist all his family at home because it was a very harsh winter that season. He said that it was a very harsh winter and that he wanted to go home, And that is why I think that he said what he said.
