In History class this week we have been researching different governments of countries, in comparison to the US. During this time I was interested to learn about some different kinds of governments. For example, New Zealand. Even though it is an independent country it’s Chief of State is Queen Elizabeth II, while their Head of Government is Prime Minister Simon William. The queen is the Chief of State due to the fact that New Zealand is a commonwealth nation, meaning that the bonds between the country and it’s founder. New Zealand’s government is very different for the Unites States’. In the US the President is both Chief of State and Head of Government, while in New Zealand, they are different people. Also the Legislative Branch is one house and it is called Parliament. In the US there are two houses. IN the US the Supreme Court is appointed by the President and approved by the Senate. While in New Zealand the Supream Court is appointed by the Governor General.

Some governments are very different form others.
