Nutrition and Exercize

2 things that I have learned:

The first thing that I learned and that I thought was interesting is that 25 to 30 % of our diet should be fat. I thought that fat was something we should try to avoid. Now for the second thing that I found interesting and that I did not know before is that everyone has a Target heart rate and a Maximum heart rate. The way people can find there Maximum heart rate is by talking 220 and subtracting that by your age. Then when you take your heart rate you want to make shore you get it for a minute. The easiest way to take your heart rate is by taking it once you find it, usually on your neck, you only take it for 15 seconds. After you have taken it for 15 seconds you need to multiply it by 4 to give you the estimate of your heart rate.

Why do these things matter:

I believe that these things matter because they help you live longer. When you know these things it is not just going to make you be healthier, you have to apply them. If you can help your body be healthy because that was the way that God created us. God created us to be healthy and without any sickness. The Lord wants us to be healthy and happy without needing all the service, though it is helpful, to stay healthy. After all the lord created us not to die. Death or sickness is not the work of God. These are the reasons I believe this information is important.

3 things I learned from reading “Steps to ratify the Constitution”

Out of reading this page I learned that the bill of rights was a big thing and even the Federalist had a problem with the Constitution because it was not there. I also learned that they did adopted a bill of rights. I also learned that their were many good reasons that the antifederalists did not except a new constitution but many of them had to do with the fear that something could go wrong or that they did not want to risk taking a chance. Many feared that the President would be like a king with a different name, and others feared that the new constitution was mostly for benefit of the rich. Still others believed that this new plan gave too much power to the Central Government at the expense of the state, they believed that the delegates did not have the power to write a new document of the constitution. Another thing I learned is that Congress was very angry and did not like the new plan because it took away most of their power but they had to pass it on to the people so that the people could decide if it is good and should pass or not. In Conclusion the constitution did pass after some adding such as the Bill of rights and is what now rules us today. I believe that even though the delegates went through a hard time trying to write the new and improved Constitution it was a success and a great job done by the delegates.

Why did the Americans have a identity Crisis?

For one I believe that they struggled on who they were because they had always been British, they always had a king or someone to tell them or declared to them who they were, he had controlled them. Now people were saying we are our own people no more taxes but what does that mean. They did not think of who they were as to be Americans or British. I believe that if a leader had been selected sooner that they would begin to understand who they were if it was a american who ruled them, they must be americans, but as a result they went through this point in time that is now part of our Country’s History. 🙂

The Treaty of Paris

I believe that the Treaty of Paris was the most important because it closed the revolution and also gave us the ability to be a free country. The British started it by General Cornwallis sending terms of Surrender to General Washington. They dicided that to be fair they should not have it in Britain or in America, so they held it in France. Some trustworthy people were sent from the Britain to debate the rights the Americans (Colonists) had and Benjemin Francklin, John J, and John Adams were sent to defend the Americans. They met and in Paris an wrote what we now call the Treaty of Paris.

About George Washington’s letter in Valley Forge

George Washington wrote a desperate letter on December 23 1777 in Valley Forge in the middle of the terrible winter. He said that they needed help and supplies because the men will just leave to go home if things continue that bad. There was almost no food and many men were dying. George Washington continued to explain that destruccion would soon come if nothing was done, four more days of such weather kill them all, George Wasington had no exsaduration in what he wrote.

Out of all the acts that 5c has studied in the time looking at the road to the revolution, which do you consider to be the harshest and why?

I believe that the worst, meanest, harshest act was the Quartering act. I believe that it was the worst because it is half killing people just letting them suffer out of hunger first and then having it hid in their poverty that is actually the fault of the British!  They make them follow rules on how to take care of the soldiers in return for protection they do not want. They have to give the soldiers there own room and feed them 3 meals a day. It put people in a terrible situation that was not called for by the colonist. This act was also terrible because they could not refuse it or even do anything about it because it was soldiers against poor women who’s husbands are gone most of the day and have to take care of the children. They have no more money to add another to the house!               Trinity

Why was the Declaration of Independence so important to the colonists

I think that the Declaration of Independence was important to the colonist because it ment that they were free and no one could unfairly tell them what to do anymore. It also proved that they were their own powerful country that was too have its own government that would protect them and have athourity over them for good reasons not to just show them that they had all the power, instead to keep them safe and happy with no more troubles then there needs to be.        .
