The Orphan Train
An Orphan Train is a Train that took homeless children. 150,000 homeless children were on the streets of New York and Boston. They had no family that could help them. There was no orphanage for the children. There was this guy named James Loring Brace and he saw the children he wanted to help. So he thought to put the children on a train to bring them to the west and the midwest to find a family. Some of the kids got separated from their siblings. Some of the families need help on their farms but some of them got a family that the children did not need to work. The trains brought the children to 47 states and Canada.

    Thanks to James Loring Brace!
