Cinder Volcano

unnamed  We (McKenna Olivia and Maddie) had to create a volcano for science. We made a Cinder Volcano. We still have to make it explode. He have a hot spring. To explode it we use coke and men-toes and for our hot spring we are going to use backing soda and vinegar.

Gods Preparation

God has been preparing me in one way that I see is going to Guatemala and seeing what life is like and taking care of the kids and loving them like God would do. I don’t know how this came because my family doesn’t do this. But I have just seen him with everyone adopting or the Philippians. My gift in this I think is loving kids and knowing that I am so blessed and I still want more. Just seeing there faces and how they are so joyful for what they have is amazing I love it even thought I haven’t gone to a place like that I want to and experiences that I can just see God changing me in that way. Like I said I have no experiences but I have heard that its fun and emotional to and life changing and I just think God is really wanting me to do that.

Mystery

Maddie Rigterink

12 February, 2016
There was an investigation at my cottage in Sliver Lake yesterday because someone spray painted my Dads boat. My Dad had worked really hard on this boat so he wouldn’t have recked it. We were at are cottage that weekend because we always go on the weekend in the summer. His boss doesn’t have a good and nice boat and he wanted to take his wife out on the lake at night and they would have dinner on the boat. So he asked my Dad if he could use it to impress his wife for their anniversary. My Dad said “Yes”, he said “But you have to bring it back and make sure you park it good up on the shore so that it doesen’t float away the reason I say this is because I am going to be asleep when you get back so don’t wake me up just park it and I will deal with it in the morning. My Dads boss Rob said “Ok”. My family wakes up from a good night sleep and we saw the boat was spray painted. My Dad was mad like really mad. My Dad went to Rob and said “What happened to my boat”? My Dad said “You had a motive to do it because I said that you had to bring it back because I know you didnt want to bring it back because you wanted to go to bed but I wanted the boat to be ok”. Rod said “What I dont know what happpened to your boat”. Then Rob said “Well you could have done it because you didn’t like that I didnt give you a raise and so you maybe did it and blamed it on me”. My Dad said “Well then who did it”. My Dad asked me I said “Why would I do it I was asleep the whole night even ask Trent he woke me up because I was snoring to loud. My dad asked Trent. Trent said “That he was asleep the whole night. My Dad asked my mom. She said “That she got up and stayed up till 1:35 in the morning. and Rob brought the boat back around 1:20 in the morning. And my dad snores loud so she could have been very quiet. There was a bottle of spray in the garbage in are garage. My Dad asked Kody. Kody said “I didnt do it I didnt do it”. His motive do it was because he wanted to take Morgan out but Dad said “No” because he could say no to his son and not to his boss. Kody had another motive because Dad wouldn’t let Kody use his tools to fix his car so he ruined the most important thing to my Dad. So my Dad looked around Robs place to see if he had a black spray can that was empty. Rob did it was sitting on the end of his dock. To think this out the suspects are My Dad, Rob, Mom or Kody. So by know you think it my mom but it was my brother Kody he confessed he was mad at Dad. So when Rob retrend with the boat Kody got up and spray painted it. He panted a pray bottle on Robs dock to think Rob did it. Then he put one in ares to throw us off. Then we went back to bed. In the end my Dad was very mad. But instead of pressing any charges he was kind and compassionnet to my brother. My Dad could press charges because my brother Kody is an adult. But I talked some sence into my Dad. They still fight sometimes about it still today.

Persecution

Why is important to study Christian persecution:

I think its good that we study persecution because we need to know whats happening to people in the world. Knowing that people get killed for what they believe in is awful because I can go to school every day and not have to worry about that. I don’t have to worry about getting killed for what I believe in.

Ideal Church vs. Early Church

Us a class wants so many things in are Church we want what we want. In the early times they only had fellowship and just all being together was important to them.  They just wanted to praise God and not them selfs. And what I mean by that is that they wanted to praise God instead of it being all about themselves

What I think about this lesson is that there is so much to learn about it because seeing what we want and seeing what God wants. That is really important to me. God just wants everyone to be worshiping in is church on the Sabbath. He wants all of us to be happy in him.

The Carbon Cycle

The Carbon Cycle

The fossil fuel from a factory goes up into the air. Then it rains down the fossil fuels go down into the  ground. The animals eat the soil or grass witch has fossil fuels in it. Then the waste product from that animal go into the air. And that fuels go in to the air. The cycle starts all over again. carbon_cycle_1

The Theme

Matthew 7:24-25

24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.

Leadership camp is where we go to camp Roger and pick a theme. This year we picked built on the rock. “Built on the Rock”, means a lot to me as both an 8th grader at ZCS and as a Christian in the world.

I can you this verse in school. I reminds me of how God loves me. I love the theme built on the rock. What it means for the school is to now that God is powerful and even through the hard time your foundation will not fall because you are a believer in God and trust him. I think for the younger kid they should now that God is there for them when the wind is blowing hard on your house in a storm that God will be there for them.

I can use this verse in the world. When I use it in the world I will now that God loves me and will procted me. For the world to now that there foundation is built on the. If they believe in God and know that he is the Savoir. He will procted you through a hard time through the storm if you trust him he will keep you save and love you. There will be very hard times through life and we just have to trust in God and love him. But trust is a big thing through a hard time.

“Built on the Rock”, means a lot to me as both an 8th grader at ZCS and as a Christian in the world. Thats what this verse is talking about to know that God will keep you save through a storm if your foundation is built on the rock meaning to me you believe in him and trust him.

Descripive Writing

The suitcase reminds me of when I went to flordia with my family. We drove there. We went through Indina,Kentuky,Tennesse,Georgia. I had to ride in the car with my brothers. They are as roud as a bear.I say one thing and they attack.I saw tons of little cute shops. I felt the water crash up on my feet when I was on the beach. My family went to restrant for breakfest. I tasted the greatest pancakes in the world.

The ladder reminds me of going up to Canda and going to New York. I went with my family. I saw the staue of liberty it was big and tall. I went in the staue too. In New York I heard cars honking. I saw the cuntion people working. There were tons of people. I saw some homless people whitch made me sad. I tasted the greasted hot dog though.

The heart reminds me of when I go to my cottage. The warm summer breas. I love feeling the water slash up on the boat when im riding it. I tasted a good mouth full of water when I was tubing I was trying to yell Slow Down. But in stead I got a mouth full of water. I like to see my friend there too they come up some weekends. My family and I like to go in the duans with are jeep. I saw the coolest truck when we went over a hill. The truck was pink like a flumingo

African Union Day

We debated on a couple rules like what we should do with the refuges. The government conflict.  We had to diside what we should do about the refuges like separate then and move them to a different country. Some people don’t want to refuges but we had to debate because we are a union so we are a group together and be a union.

I learned how to debate on what to agree on. I loved when we talked about it and people said what they though. We had a vote on somethings because we couldn’t agree. I wouldn’t change anything.

Invictus Response

Rugby

They didn’t really do good at the start but when Mandela wanted a rugby team he wanted them to win the national game and they did and i think it really showed the team and everyone that they cant fight even for a black county because they are white people but they wanted to fight for freedom. This respects them because they want to fight for respect and freedom and they won and that really showed everyone that they want freedom

Africa

What impacted me on Wednesday was that the faces we tried to guess if they were from Africa and just knowing that not every black person is from Africa and we did some cards and mine was 2 in black so if my teacher asked all the twos to stand up and then all those people would have technology or something and there were not a lot of 2’s so that means that there is not a lost of technology
