What have I learned from Dangerous Journey and Pilgrims Progress?

I learned that there are going to be a lot of temptations in life and you have to fight them off and stay true to God. You have to always choose the hard but right path. Life is going to always be a hard journey and we really do need God. Life is just a long dangerous journey to heaven.
The main characters are Christian,Faithful,and Hopeful. More of his temptations were Lucre. Lucre tried to convince Hopeful and Christian to come up to a mine shaft, but really Lucre would say “look down there” and he would push them off. Also Christian had to fight Apollyon, he had armor just not on his back so he couldn’t turn back to the City of Destruction. Christian and Faithful come up to Vanity Fair where Faithful Christian got arrested and went to court for being worshipers of God. That is also the place were Faithful got killed, the judge thought that hanging Faithful would be to nice, but in the end Faithful got burned to his death.
Christian met Hopeful who was a believer in Vanity fair doing the same thing Christian and faithful were doing, looking for the celestial city. They finished their journey together. Christian and Hopeful went off the path and got nabbed by Giant Despair and were there starving, then the giant gave them a bag with a knife to stabbed themselves,a rope to hang themselves, and a bottle with poison. Christian crawled with a limp over to the bag about to grab something when Hopeful yelled STOP!!!!!! Hopeful came over and told Christian that even if we die we will die in Gods hands but I do believe we will live and we will see the celestial city, so Christian put the bag down and threw it to the other side of the cell.
Hopeful and Christian were finally at the shining gates and they saw Faithful walking towards them.
But they all made it the Celestial city to the Holy place.

How do these books apply to my life?
This can apply to my life because. I am going through life day by day and I need to know that there are good and bad people in the world and sometimes you need to realize that some people in the world might be good and some might be bad and that’s why you need God through this dangerous journey to help you see the good people and the bad people.
I also learned that if you are in need of God’s love pray, pray to God and pray for help,forgiveness, and maybe even just thanking him. I think God has a plan for our lives, but I think what’s really amazing in this story is that Christian was the one that did not die. He could’ve died in Vanity fair and Giant despairs jail and by Lucre, but he didn’t and I think thats really cool. Through out the book Evangelist came and always help Christian go to the “hard but right path”. To me the hard but right path means that even if it’s hard you will end up in a better place.
