Descriptive Paragraph

Our assignment was to describe a particular place we were going to describe the place by painting a picture is our readers’ mind. How did I do?

To me, riding in a car for at least two hours, is ok when we are going to the best place that I love to be at. When we finally reach Hoghton Lake, I jumped right out of our Honda. It felt so good to be out of the car, and be able to walk around. My grandpa told me that grandma was out in the backyard. I raced to the backyard when I saw her I gave her a really BIG hug. Then I looked to the water. The water was so blue. It looked like you were looking up at a bright blue sky. The very next day we spent hours tubing. I still remembered the very first day I went tubing. I was so scared. I felt I had a huge stomachache, but that was the first time this was about my third time. I was so excited I couldn’t sit still. When it was my turn I tried as fast I could to get on the tube. When I heard the engine roaring from the boat I knew I had to hang on tight, or else I would fall off and then I would be very wet. When my dad started the motor the tube started to go over HUGE waves. It got as crazy as my sister Avery when she eats ice cream. The whole time I was hoping I wouldn’t fall off, because I knew that the ride was going to get crazier and faster. While I was tubing, it started to smell like stinky fish. If my dad turned just right I would get splashed by a wave. When I was done tubing I was very wet. I had to have a towel to warm me up and dry me off. When we had to go home I was very sad. This is one of my favorite places to be, and we have a LONG car ride ahead of us.
