What we are learning:

In Bible we began our Timeline to Easter. We started with the story of Palm Sunday and also learned how Jesus was a servant leader. He showed us how to serve others when he washed his disciples feet.

In Daily 5 we continue to see growing readers and writers! I love the choice that Daily 5 framework allows. The kids are so proud of their work! They love to share favorite stories or pictures with friends, myself or Mrs. Hunderman.

In Phonics we met the an family and made a house for its family members (pan, man, can, ran, tan, fan).

In Writing workshop the students worked together as a group for coming up with instructions on how to make a snowman and then how to have a picnic. Mrs. Hunderman and myself put a picnic together for them to watch and then shared a small treat with them. There was a lot of blue and green;) in this picnic!

In math this week we used manipulatives to make our own addition and subtraction sentences. At home encourage your children to make some math sentences from household items such as silverware, toys, tools, etc. They love this!

We added who to the world wall. The kids had fun writing sentences with who in it. Another challenge was writing question marks.

For March is Reading Month Fun we read about George Washington and my daughter did a special guest reader zoom with us and we learned about Rosa Parks!

This week Lucas Cooper was up in lights. It was fun to learn about him and read his favorite book all about Charlie the ranch dog. We are blessed to have Lucas in our class!
