What we are learning:

Bible:This week we started our 2 week study on Joseph. We talked about how Joseph’s brothers were jealous of him and sold him into slavery. We then learned that he was thrown into jail and God allowed him to interpret Pharaoh’s dreams. We began learning our new verse, Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, those who are called according to His purpose.”

Phonics: This week we continued work on listening for sounds and then writing them. We also are continuing to review syllables.

Writing workshop: This week we wrapped up our unit on drawing and labeling! We will start making lists next week!

Math- We made a class pizza this week and added toppings. We discussed which toppings had more or less as well as challenged ourselves with how many more toppings we would need to get to 10. Next week we begin our unit on shapes.

Daily 5- Some groups worked on letter sounds, some on syllables, some on vowels. Everyone should have a new word wall book in their book bag to read to you!

Kade Storey was Up in Lights this week. His mom came in to share about him! We were very impressed with his knowledge of fish as well as his ability to take the fish off of the hook! We are blessed to have Kade and his sweet demeanor in our class!

During nature rich this week, Mrs. Bosch threw pumpkins to break them and then we picked out the seeds and counted them! Some of us did not like the feeling of the pumpkin pulp!!!!!
